Closure of the labour market on a simplified basis for Russian citizens

Poland is soon to close the labour market to Russians on a simplified basis. A regulation to this effect is to be adopted as early as October.

These are preventive measures related to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.  Restrictions have also been introduced on the crossing of the Polish border by Russian citizens. So far, the countries covered by the simplified employment procedure have been Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Russia.

At the moment, no further details have been made available on the regulation or specific dates regarding the closure of the labour market on a simplified basis for Russian citizens. We will monitor information on this topic and inform you in future posts.
