    \nOnce a year, at the end of February, the employer is required to provide employees with information confirming the amount of contributions paid. This information can be independently verified by the employee if they visit any ZUS branch and present their identification documents.
    \nIt can also be done through the Electronic Services Platform (PUE), provided you have an account on this platform (creating a profile on this platform is free).<\/li>\n
  2. Verification through the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG)<\/strong>
    \nIf the employer is registered as a sole proprietor, you can check their details in the CEIDG. This register contains information about legal entities and sole proprietors, including their tax status.<\/li>\n
  3. Verification through the National Court Register (KRS)<\/strong>
    \nIf the employer is a legal entity (e.g., a joint-stock company or a limited liability company), information about their financial status can be found in the KRS. This register also includes data on tax obligations.<\/li>\n
  4. Contacting Tax<\/a> Authorities<\/strong>
    \nYou can contact local tax authorities (Urz\u0105d Skarbowy) to request verification of the employer\u2019s tax status. However, this may require your consent or a legal basis for requesting such information.<\/li>\n
  5. Analysis of the Employment Contract<\/strong>
    \nThe employment contract should specify the terms of remuneration and taxes that the employer is obliged to withhold and pay. If you encounter a situation where the data provided to the Social Insurance Institution does not match the information outlined in the signed contract, and the employer fails to meet their tax obligations, this may serve as grounds for further action.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
