Extension of exemptions from ZUS contributions
The broadly understood tourism industry can count on a new mechanism of state support. The government intends to exempt these companies from paying ZUS for the next three months, which is due to the pandemic situation. Details of the extension of the tax relief are being developed.
As a result of talks with representatives of the tourism, event and passenger transport industries, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development decided to extend their exemption from ZUS for another three months, the possibility of obtaining remuneration and parking subsidies. Work is underway on the details of the new solutions, but the allowances and surcharges are to apply retroactively from July 1. However, if the approval of the European Commission for the above-mentioned aid is not obtained quickly enough, the package will not enter into force until the beginning of August.
