Anti-crisis shield - financial support for companies

The resolution of the anti-crisis shield project to help entrepreneurs overcome the effects of the coronavirus epidemic is almost a fact. In connection with its assumptions about financial assistance for enterprises meeting the requirements specified in the project, Progress Holding will provide support services in obtaining the said funds. Time and costs will be determined shortly.

According to the latest data, on March 23 the plans and requirements for obtaining this government support are as follows:

1. Co-financing of the salary for the employer from the Guaranteed Employee Benefits Fund up to 50% of the minimum salary, which is currently 2,600 PLN, but not more than 40% of the average salary. Co-financing will be granted during economic downtime or reduced working time by 20 %, but no more than half-time with paid contributions and taxes for the first quarter of 2020, understood as the sale of goods or services in quantity or value:

• not less than by 15% (the sum of turnover in any two consecutive months from January 2020 to the total turnover from the corresponding two months of the previous year) or not less than 25% of turnover a month in the period from January 2020 compared to preceding month.

2. Co-financing of part of the salary costs for employees and due social security contributions by the staroste during any two successive months after January 1, 2020:

• Part of salary costs for employees and ZUS contributions due in the case of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises employing employees (no longer than for a period of six months for micro- and small enterprises, 3 months – medium-sized enterprises), depending on the decrease in turnover:
– by a minimum of 30% – the product of the number of employees and 50% of the minimum wage
– by a minimum of 50% – the product of the number of employees and 70% of the minimum wage
– by a minimum of 80% – the product of the number of employees and 90% of the minimum wage

• Part of the cost of doing business if you are a natural person not having employees (no more than 6 months), depending on the decrease in turnover:
– by a minimum of 30% – 50% of the minimum wage
– by a minimum of 50% – 70% of the minimum wage
– by a minimum of 80% – 90% of the minimum wage

Benefits due to economic downtime will also be available. They will require contributions. They will not be taxed for contractors and self-employed workers in the amount of 80% of the minimum wage, when the income has fallen by at least 15% compared to the previous month.
