PIT zero for people under 26
On the 1st of August, 2019, the PIT rule for people under 26 entered the Polish law. It relates to income from work (business relationship, employment relationship, home work and cooperative employment) and contracts of mandate made with the company, achieved by persons not more than 26 years old (an amount not exceeding 85 528 PLN in the current tax year) . Unfortunately, the relief will not be available to those employed for student internships or as part of graduate internships. The relief from these wages is not included. It is also worth mentioning that the savings will not amount to 18%, but only 8. This is due to the fact that people covered by zero PIT are exempt only from paying tax, but no longer from the health insurance.
