Recall of the 30-fold ZUS limit

The Polish government has not decided to abandon the controversial proposal to lift the 30-fold ZUS limit. The costs incurred by employers may amount to millions of PLN. The best qualified employees of the companies may also lose. The current sum of contributions during the year for an individual employee is discharged up to 30 times the average monthly salary in the economy. This solution limits different amounts of pensions paid in the future and does not burden the entire system. However, the government budgeted in 2020 for the liquidation of this solution, which is to fund the state coffers (thanks to the lack of subsidies for the Social Insurance Fund, from which ZUS pays pensions) by 5.1 billion PLN.
