
Law for refugees from Ukraine passed
On March 9, Polish Seym passed a law providing for special legal solutions for refugees from Ukraine. Here are the most important points of the act:
- The Act does not include the exemption from inheritance and donation tax previously announced by the Ministry of Finance for refugees who receive donations of goods or property rights in Poland in Poland.
- PIT and CIT reliefs were created, which include costs for the purchase or production of goods donated to charity organizations, local governments, hospitals and the Strategic Reserves Agency, which provide aid for purposes related to counteracting the effects of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.
- Every citizen of Ukraine who entered Poland legally after February 24 will be able to stay in Poland for 18 months. For an easier start, he will receive a 300 PLN grant. 40 PLN a day for 60 days will be given to those who accept refugees on the basis of an agreement signed with the commune.
- Ukrainians will be granted a PESEL number during their stay in Poland, upon an application submitted to the commune office.
- A trusted profile will be created for refugees to handle official matters. From the beginning of 2022, in order to obtain the right to 500+, 300+ or family care capital, you must submit an online application. refugees will have to open a bank account, as payments from ZUS will only be made via bank transfer.
